چکیده
Background: Antibiotic resistance is one of the major problems encountered in therapy canine pyometra. The ability bacteria to form biofilm implicated as factors responsible for this. Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus are predominant associated with pyometra canines known their formation. Keeping this view, a preliminary study was conducted detect forming strains E. S. aureus, if any, Methods: A total 25 samples were collected, which included uterine discharges from cases closed anterior vaginal swabs open isolates identified based on cultural, morphological biochemical characteristics. These subjected antibiotic sensitivity test employing disc diffusion method. For detection, screened by Congo red agar method, tube method tissue culture plate Result: From samples, two Streptococcus spp., thirteen seven E.coli, five Klebsiella spp. Pseudomonas isolated. All found be multi-drug resistant antibiogram. more sensitive formation E.coli isolates, respectively. showed higher degree comparison non-formers, indicating it reasons failure

Evaluation of Wi-Fi Radiation Effects on Antibiotic Susceptibility, Metabolic Activity and Biofilm Formation by Escherichia Coli 0157H7, Staphylococcus Aureus and Staphylococcus Epidermis
Background: The radiation emitted from electromagnetic fields (EMF) can cause biological effects on prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, including non-thermal effects. Objective: The present study evaluated the non-thermal effects of wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) operating at 2.4 GHz part of non-ionizing EMF on different pathogenic bacterial strains (Escherichia coli 0157H7, Staphylococcus aureu...
متن کاملDetection of Intracellular Adhesion (ica) and Biofilm Formation Genes in Staphylococcus aureus Isolates from Clinical Samples
Background: The nosocomial infections that cause the establishment of biofilms on the embedded biomedical surfaces are the leading cause of sepsis and are often related to colonization of implants by Staphylococcus epidermidis. Materials and Methods: A total of 40 clinical S. aureus isolates were collected from Zabol, Iran. The ability of these strains to form biofilm was determined by microli...
متن کاملDetection of icaABCD Genes and Biofilm Formation in Clinical Isolates of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Background & Objectives: Methicillin resistance Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the most important pathogens that causes several nosocomial and community infections. Adhesion to surfaces and biofilm formation is considered main step in staphylococcal infection. The aims of this study were to determine presence oficaABCD genes and relation to the biofilm formation in of...
متن کاملBiofilm Formation and Detection of IcaAB Genes in Clinical Isolates of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Objective(s) Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an important cause of nosocomial and community infections. Biofilm formation, mediated by a polysaccharide intercellular adhesin (PIA) and encoded by the ica operon, is considered to be an important virulence factor in both S. epidermidis and S. aureus. However, the clinical impact of the ica locus and PIA production is less w...
